Ship Life

An open-world sailing and crafting game where the ships, the machines and the world itself run on real rules.

Coming soon to Steam

A two-masted ship with fore and stern castles sailing toward an island

Design it. Then build it.

Every ship is yours

At a dry dock you lay out your ship section by section: hull, decks, castles, masts and sails, cargo and machinery. Then you build it for real, plank by plank, from what you have gathered. When she slides into the water she floats, heels and sails by her shape.

Wind and water

Sail by the wind, not by a speed stat

Your sails work with the apparent wind, so trim and heading matter. Hulls float by what they displace, waves can be ridden, and a well-designed ship simply sails better.

Weather with teeth

A simulated sky

Above it all runs a simulated atmosphere: seasons, rain and snow, and named storms that build over open water. Read the sky, pick your moment, or ride it out.

A kingdom trade carrack under sail

A living world

Kingdoms, trade and adventure

Islands and continents hold kingdoms with towns, roads and castles, merchants and guilds, and trade carracks working the sea lanes. Below them wait dungeons and monsters, and the blades, bows, guns and spells to face them with.

Machines that work

Real heat, real pressure

Boilers make steam from real heat, turbines and engines turn it into work, and pumps, pipes and propellers move it where it needs to go. Furnaces smelt ore, and the chemistry runs on all 118 elements.
